SAE/TTA-Group Open Forum on Time-Triggered Technologies
Mixed Criticality Systems:
Deterministic Ethernet and Time-Triggered Technology for Open System Architectures
November 9, 2009 in Seattle, Washington, USA
The integration of critical with non-critical functions is essential for design of advanced architectures. In conjunction with Ethernet, the time-triggered paradigm facilitates design of mixed criticality systems. This helps to solve many system engineering challenges and trade-offs in design of advanced electronic platforms. In general, time-triggered technologies support modular contracting strategies and enable future upgrades, system growth and platform reuse. They are used in production programs in aerospace, defense, automotive, railway and other industries. TTP and TTEthernet are currently standardized by SAE International.
The event is designed to provide a platform for the exchange of know-how by industry experts and to discuss the benefits, power and maturity of key time-triggered technologies such as TTP, FlexRay and TTEthernet. Participants get information on the newest programs, related products, IP, technologies and standardization roadmaps, and have the opportunity to visit a demonstration area showcasing the latest information from leading solution and tool providers.
